Senior Account Manager - Sales & Distribution - Open Source Software & Services (10-15 yrs)
Duties and Responsibilities :
As the senior account manager for sales of Enterprise level Open Source technologies (primary products to focus on Red Hat and Enterprise DB)
You will carry the following responsibilities :
- Sustenance and growth of the existing business - with set accounts in designated territory, and a hawk eyed view of top and bottom lines.
- Management of business relationships with OEMs, customers and partner ecosystems
- Report sales progress to all stakeholders - internal, OEMs and partners
- Partner events, webinars and enablement sessions
- Management of product wise sales, inventory, account payables and account receivables
- Oversee day to day operations, and drive sales and support teams to fuel business growth
- Formulate and execute sales strategies for account management, partner incentives, hunt for new business, competition displacement opportunities, and drive expansion into new geographies within the country.
- Work with cross functional teams to enable creation of marketing collateral, digital media promotions, inside sales and presales activities.
- You will work with presales, engineering and delivery teams to formulate sales strategies and execute any service related opportunities.

- Formulate and execute operational strategies to collaborate and drive cross functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Experience and knowledge of Operating Systems, middleware, containers and virtualisation segments.
- Hybrid cloud experience is a plus
- Mentors the team, and commands respect from subordinates, peers, internal and external stakeholders.
- Proposal writing, presentation and MIS reports - in clear and effective manner
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Adept in usage of utility software like docs, spreadsheets, presentations across multiple OEM products.
Qualifications :
- Computer engineering background with an MBA from a reputed institution
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in business development and sales of technology products.
- 5+ years in direct sales and account management to manufacturing, retail, pharma and IT/ITeS
- Demonstrated success in technology sales
- Any technology-sales certifications are an added advantage
Other Expectations :
- Representing the company and its products in industry forums, conferences, and exhibitions
- Direct report to the CEO of the company
- Travel is an integral part of the job, as the company and OEMs operate at a national level. COVID-19 constraints are considered.
