Search Engine Optimization Specialist - Marketing Firm (2-3 yrs)
The ideal candidate should have worked in a digital marketing Agency in an SEO role and should have the proven ability to put analytics into action. The candidate will be responsible for managing all SEO activities for the clients and the agency's website to increase organic rankings. The resource should be analytical and have technical and non-technical knowledge of optimizing landing pages, performing keyword research, and creating rich SEO content.
The candidate will be responsible for leading the discussions with the tech team to get the changes implemented.
Key Responsibilities :
- Craft, implement, and drive overall SEO approach for the clients and internal stakeholders
- Provide detailed conversion and keyword rank reporting on the impact of SEO and accelerate the growth of organic search traffic through regular audits of the sites content, tech functionalities, and competitors
- Collaborate with the content and dev teams to provide site recommendations that drive SEO-rich content and identify gaps in content and recommend new topics as needed
- Become the point person for website page structure, optimizing for organic search, recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SERP position for targeted keywords
- Actively participate in the new client pitches related to SEO mandate
- Regularly perform detailed keyword research to boost content strategy and drive ongoing page optimization
- Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports to develop and recommend SEO strategies
- Work closely with the web team to ensure SEO best practices and codes are properly implemented on-site.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry developments, news, tools, etc.
- Prepare monthly progress reports which track the client's progress and provide useful recommendations to the client.
- Prepare client documents this includes presentations in PowerPoint, Excel, or Word and presenting them to the client.
Desired Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates that are driven, hard-working, passionate, and motivated
- At least 2-3 years of SEO experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably with an agency.
- Ability to prioritize and manage short timelines and multiple overlapping projects simultaneously.
- Experienced in using SEO to drive measurable down-funnel conversions
- Passion for digging into qualitative and quantitative data, uncovering actionable insights, and acting on them
- Strong proficiency in web analytics to analyze campaigns and websites (Google Analytics, GA4 preferred)
- Well-versed in Google Search Console, Google My Business, Google Analytics, and various other SEO research tools (ex. Ahrefs, SEM Rush, Screaming Frog, etc.)
