Trainee Sales Role - OEM - German MNC
Our client is a well known multinational OEM providing industrial solutions for Rotary Lobe Pumps, Macerators, Mixers, electrokinetic disintegretors and related products, used in oil refineries, shipping & ports, water, waste water, sugar, wine, food, chemical, paint, rubber & carbon, pulp and paper, slaughter house, large kitchen waste, fire and emergency dewatering, Railways & Biogas plants and similar kind of industries.
We are searching for a well-organized mechanical engineering graduate pass out of year 2018 or 2019 to join the corporate office at Greater Noida.
- The Trainee Sales Role's responsibilities include attending meetings, performing all practical and administrative duties assigned by the Supervisor, traveling to customer locations, assisting on ongoing projects, offering suggestions for improvement, and writing up reports. You should be able to work in a team and be prepared to step outside of your comfort zone.
- The person should equipped with good verbal & written communication, good presentation skills with problem solving attitude and good understanding of mechanical engineering terms.
- To be successful as a Trainee Sales Role, you should always be expanding your engineering and technical sales knowledge and sharpening your communication skills. Outstanding candidates learn from their mentors, but also feel confident sharing their own ideas with the team.
Day to day work of sales engineer comprises of :
- Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
- Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.
- Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organising sales call schedule.
- Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel.
- Determines improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
- Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
- Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.
- Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and anticipating future legislation.
- Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
