Roles and Responsibilities :
Business Development :
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through open market channels and agency networks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, agents, and financial institutions.
Channel Management :
- Manage and nurture relationships with agency channels and direct sales teams.
- Implement effective channel strategies to maximize productivity and revenue generation.
- Provide training and support to agents and channel partners to ensure understanding of products and sales techniques.
Product Promotion :
- Promote and sell health insurance products, CASA (Current Account and Savings Account), mutual funds, and other financial products/services.
- Conduct promotional activities, presentations, and seminars to increase product awareness and market penetration.
Operations Management :
- Oversee day-to-day operations related to agency health business, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports for management review.
- Drive efficiency and productivity improvements within the business unit.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and resolution of customer issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as underwriting, claims, and customer service) to enhance customer experience and retention.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in agency health business management, preferably in the insurance, banking, or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of open market, agency channel, and direct channel operations.
- Knowledge of CASA products, mutual funds, and broking company operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving business goals.
- MBA or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
