A Sales Engineer for compressors is a hybrid role that combines technical expertise with salesmanship. You'll be responsible for driving sales of compressors to new and existing customers, while also providing technical guidance and support.

Here's a breakdown of the typical responsibilities :

Sales :

- Develop relationships with potential customers in your assigned territory. Identify and qualify leads for compressor sales.

- Deliver technical presentations and consultations to educate customers about compressor solutions that meet their needs.

- Prepare quotations and proposals for compressor systems.

- Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers.

- Close sales deals and achieve sales targets.

- Track and report on sales activities and performance metrics.

Technical Expertise :

- Possess a strong understanding of compressor technology, including different types, functionalities, and applications.

- Advise customers on the most suitable compressor based on their specific requirements (e.g., pressure, flow rate).

- Provide technical support to customers before, during, and after the sale.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest compressor technologies and industry trends.

Other duties may include :

- Conducting market research and competitor analysis.

- Collaborating with marketing and service teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

- Preparing and attending industry events and trade shows.
