Must: Product knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) & Medium Voltage (MV) Drives
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager - Sales & Marketing with extensive expertise in the sales of Low Voltage (LV) Drives, and other power electronics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth technical knowledge of power electronic topologies and a proven track record in handling techno-commercial sales.
- This role requires strong team leadership skills,experience in developing strategic sales plans, and the ability to drive revenue growth in a competitive market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Leadership:
- Lead and manage the sales team responsible for the promotion and sale of VFDs, UPS systems, and related power electronics products.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet company goals and revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
Techno-Commercial Sales:
- Manage the full sales cycle for complex, high-value technical products, including prospecting,technical presentations, proposal preparation, and negotiations.
- Provide in-depth technical guidance to customers regarding product features, systemintegration, and application-specific solutions for VFDs and other power electronic topologies.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to ensure the sales strategies are aligned with product capabilities and customer needs.
Market Expansion:
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities for LV Drives and related power electronics products by analyzing market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target industries, including manufacturing, HVAC, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance on technical product knowledge, customer engagement, and sales strategies.
- Monitor team performance, set individual and team KPIs, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary to achieve business objectives.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns, promotions, and sales initiatives that target relevant customer segments.
Techno-Commercial Proposals & Negotiations:
- Prepare and deliver detailed techno-commercial proposals, addressing both technical and financial aspects of potential projects.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
Product Knowledge & Training:
- Stay current with advancements in power electronics, VFDs, and UPS technologies, ensuring a deep understanding of product offerings and their applications in different industries.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for the sales team and customers to enhance technical knowledge and product expertise.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track and report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitive activities, providing detailed insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to monitor customer pipelines, forecast sales, and manage customer interactions effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree in business administration (MBA) is a plus.
Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3-4 years in a senior management role within the power electronics or electrical industry.
- Proven experience in selling VFDs, and other power electronics or electrical products.
- Strong background in techno-commercial sales, with the ability to articulate technical product details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of VFDs, electrical switchgear and power electronic topologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to LV Drives and power electronics.
Team Management:
Proven experience in managing and mentoring a sales team, driving performance, and achieving results.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with major industry players in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, HVAC, or infrastructure.
- Expertise in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and managing complex customer pipelines.
