Sales Expert - Freight Forwarding (3-5 yrs)
Sales and Business Development :
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and business development in the air and ocean freight forwarding sectors.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and increase market share.
Client Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand client requirements, provide tailored solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis :
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the freight forwarding industry.
- Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
Sales Strategy :
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Negotiation and Deal Closure :
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
- Close sales deals and manage the end-to-end sales process.
Collaboration :
- Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding services.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address client needs and resolve any issues.
Reporting and Documentation :
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development efforts.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
Customer Service :
- Address and resolve client inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and ensure adherence to legal and operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven track record in freight forwarding sales and business development, particularly in air and ocean freight.
- Strong understanding of logistics, freight forwarding processes, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
