Job Title: Sales Development Manager
Job Summary :
- As a Sales Development Manager, your primary role is to lead a team responsible for finding and generating potential customers (leads) for our company's products or services. You'll be a crucial link between marketing and sales, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads that can be turned into paying customers.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Generation : Oversee a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in identifying and reaching out to potential customers through various channels, such as cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement.
- Team Management : Recruit, train, and manage the performance of your SDR team. Provide guidance and support to help them succeed in their lead-generation efforts.
- Strategy Development : Create and implement a lead generation strategy. Define target customer profiles, messaging, and performance metrics to ensure a systematic approach to lead generation.
- Sales Process Alignment : Collaborate closely with the sales team to establish clear criteria for passing leads to the sales representatives. Ensure a smooth handover of leads.
- Data Analysis : Analyse data and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of lead generation efforts. Adjust strategies as necessary based on the data.
- Technology Utilization : Implement and manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other tools to streamline lead generation efforts and monitor progress.
- Training and Coaching : Provide ongoing training and coaching to your SDR team to enhance their skills and knowledge in lead generation.
- Market Research : Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to adapt your lead generation strategy accordingly.
- Reporting : Regularly prepare and present reports to senior management, outlining the performance of the sales development function and its impact on the sales pipeline.
- Customer Relationship Management : Build and nurture relationships with potential customers, ensuring they progress through the sales funnel.
- Budget Management : Manage the budget allocated for lead generation activities, including advertising, software tools, and personnel expenses.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in any stream
- Proven experience in sales development or lead generation, with a track record of success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales automation tools.
- Adaptability and the ability to stay up-to-date with industry changes.
