Saarthi : Overview
Saarthi Education is a non-profit organization based out of New Delhi, working with the mission to improve early learning outcomes of children in India. Saarthi empowers parents across low-income communities to provide an environment of excellent early learning and care for their children at home. We provide learning resources, parent coaching and support through an innovative blend of online and offline components. We are currently working with 5000 families across six low-income communities in New Delhi.
Saarthi is a strong team of young and dynamic development sector professionals coming from premier institutions such as IIT, University of St. Andrews, Delhi School of Social Work, NITI Aayog, Teach For India and Central Square Foundation.
Key Responsibilities :
Saarthi will be entering new low-income communities this year with our existing product and services but this time the aim is to build a huge base of consumers who pay for our products and services. The Business Development Manager would be responsible for building Saarthi's paid intervention program in communities. Given that the B2C segment in the low-income communities is unorganized and difficult to access, service and retain, the Business Development Manager will wear multiple hats to make this a success.
The responsibilities include :
1. Building a team of field workers, training and managing them.
2. Strategizing and implementing new sales processes to scale up the paid user base.
3. Building processes to ensure impeccable service to the user base to make them our loyal customers.
4. Building excellent monitoring systems to ensure frill-less operations.
5. Building Saarthi's brand image within the communities.
Key Requirements :
1. Entrepreneurial mindset
2. Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
3. Readiness to be on the ground and getting your hands dirty.
4. Strong project and process management skills
5. Ability to deliver quality work within defined deadlines.
6. Ability to be a strong leader of a team of field-workers.
Compensation : Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidate's experience levels.
