What you will be doing:
- Creating and managing content across all social media platforms for Rupa Publications and Aleph Book Company, focusing on engagement and page growth.
- Drafting and executing promotion strategy for key front list titles of the month.
- Performance marketing campaigns (Facebook Ads, Google Ads) for all major titles published to drive book sales.
- Coordinating with editors, design team and freelancers to create promotion assets for the books.
- Collaborating with authors, literary agents to carry out successful campaigns, customized per the book.
- Driving pertinent, advantageous collaborations with online communities, media, and bloggers to ensure wider visibility for the titles and the brands.
- Listing the titles on Amazon KEP for Print on Demand
- Managing and updating the brands- websites.
- Managing the budget and schedule of social media promotions.
The ideal applicant for this position has suitable skills, including:
- Social media: The ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand is necessary . These professionals are expected to regularly post text, video and images, follow online conversations on a company's social media accounts
- Communication: Great verbal and written communication skills are essential . A Social Media Manager must interact with writers, designers, developers and customers and report to senior management personnel. He/She must identify social media events such as an interesting hashtag or a sensitive topic and share appropriate content that aligns with the company's social media strategy.
- Creativity: Crafting engaging content is an important skill .
- Technology: Computer skills, skills in using social media platforms and skills in using tools that analyze social media platforms are requirements for this position.
- Research: Applicant must have an understanding of the trends and techniques of social media as well as the company's online presence to effectively handle social media marketing.
