Relationship Manager - Sales (1-10 yrs)
We are looking for a Relationship Manager to build and preserve trusting relationships with customers for our client company. The company interacts with the government and advises it on policy and business environment issues. It networks with technical institutions and business support organisations in India and abroad to enable business expansion and information dissemination on technical developments.
To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, able to work with sales and marketing teams and build rapport with customers. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good relationships with clients so that the business can maximize the value of those relationships.
- Understand customer needs and develop plans to address them
- Identify key staff in client companies to cultivate profitable relationships
- Participate in one-on-one meetings with clients to explain services in an effort to guide their choices.
- Aim to preserve customers and renew contracts
- Approach potential customers to establish relationships
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively
- Forward upselling and cross-selling opportunities to the sales team
- Grow the business by identifying new sales and business development opportunities.
- Monitor and assess activities of our competitors to proactively satisfy and retain our clients.
- Provide excellent service in order to maintain a positive reputation for the business.
- Understand the problems and challenges of clients and identify ways the business could better address those needs.
- Set revenue targets and then develop and execute a strategy to meet those.
Qualification:
- Minimum 1 year experience as relationship manager, liaison officer, liaison manager, sales & marketing manager, key account manager, client acquisition manager
- Graduate/Postgraduate with good academic track record
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) practices
- Excellent communication skills, especially good command in English
- Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
- Teamwork and leadership skills
