Relationship Manager - BFSI (3-5 yrs)
Job purpose
To drive sales strategy and execute business expansion plans at the branch level for the liability business within assigned region.
Principal responsibilities
- Owns responsibility for driving business / sales in assigned region, to be in alignment with assigned targets
- Achieves branch sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans and implementing quality, and customer-service standards
- Manages team of sales officers to expand deposit pool and drive revenue generation through sale of CASA, TD, third party products and cross-selling activities
- Oversees portfolio build for division to drive acquisition of good quality and balanced mix of accounts, reduce costs and ensure sustained profitability
- Establishes measures for the effective flow, timely follow-up & healthy closure rate of leads across the division
- Manages lead sources for business development; strengthens the relationship and applies regular focus on developing the top of lead funnel to sustain & grow business unit
- Ensures timely execution of all sales and marketing activities for the branch
- Ensures that all business activities carried out by staff in their designated roles comply with the defined bank policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, risk management and compliance guidelines
- Supports Recruitment, Training, Retention and Mentoring of sales teams; responsible for controlling staff attrition within the branch
- Liaises with other units and businesses for new product development, service enhancements and sales initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience
Preferably 3-5 years of sales experience in banking/financial services/FMCG of which at least 2 years as a sales team lead
