Regional Sales Manager - West India (Two-Wheeler Tyre Sales)
Industry: Tyres/Lubricants/Batteries
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for two-wheeler tyre products across the West India region.
- Drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities and expanding distributor and dealer networks.
- Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies to capture market share.
Channel Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
- Manage the distribution network to ensure product availability and market penetration.
- Resolve channel conflicts and provide support to channel partners to improve sales performance.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team across multiple states in West India.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales skills of team members.
- Monitor team performance and provide actionable feedback to enhance productivity.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to fine-tune sales strategies.
- Contribute to pricing, promotions, and product placement strategies in the region.
Profit & Loss Management:
- Manage the P&L for the region, ensuring cost control and revenue optimization.
- Monitor financial performance, forecasting, and budgeting for the region.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct market analysis to track sales trends, customer behavior, and competitor performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance and market insights to senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 10-15 years of experience in sales, preferably in Tyres, Lubricants, or Batteries industries. Must have handled at least 2 states in the West India region.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Network: Strong existing relationships with distributors and dealers in the West India region.
Skills:
- Proven expertise in channel sales and distributor management.
- Strong leadership and team-handling capabilities.
- Strategic thinking and ability to manage P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Geographical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of market dynamics across states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
