Regional Sales Manager - OEM (10-15 yrs)
Role Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth and managing branch operations in Hyderabad. This role demands a strong background in consulting AV project sales, solution selling expertise, and experience in managing large MNC projects with marquee logos. The ideal candidate will excel in both individual business acquisition and client relationship management while ensuring efficient branch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development (80% Focus):
1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with marquee clients and large MNCs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clientele to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
2. Solution Selling:
- Understand client requirements and propose tailored AV solutions, showcasing in-depth technical and commercial knowledge.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop comprehensive proposals that meet client needs.
3. Consultative Selling:
- Engage with consultants, architects, and project management firms to position the company as a preferred AV partner.
- Influence stakeholders during the pre-bid and tendering process.
4. OEM and Distributor Relationships:
- Establish and maintain strong connections with AV OEMs (e.g., Biamp, Shure, Crestron) and distributors to enhance product offerings and secure competitive pricing.
- Stay updated on product developments and leverage relationships for strategic advantages.
5. Target Achievement:
- Meet or exceed regional sales targets and contribute to the company's overall revenue goals.
- Regularly monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Branch Operations (20% Focus):
1. Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring smooth coordination between sales, project, and support teams.
- Manage branch resources, including office infrastructure and staff efficiency.
2. Client Support and Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve client escalations and operational challenges effectively.
- Ensure project deliverables align with client expectations and company standards.
3. Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and submit periodic sales and operations reports to the leadership team.
- Ensure branch compliance with company policies and processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA (preferred).
2. Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in AV industry sales, with expertise in consulting AV project sales and solution selling.
- Proven track record of handling large MNC projects and marquee logos.
3. Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of AV systems, technologies, and solution integration.
- Familiarity with key AV OEMs and distributors.
4. Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Leadership qualities to inspire and guide the branch team.
5. Branch Management:
- Experience in managing branch operations, including resource allocation and team coordination.
