Regional Sales Manager - Logistics (10-15 yrs)
Job Summary - Regional Sales Manager :
- The role is responsible for managing sales in a specific territory. The key accountabilities include business development and increase in market share by addition of new customers, retention of existing customers and managing outstanding credit collections in the region. Role holder should be able to strategically guide a team of Sales Manager & Territory Sales Managers to drive the sales by maintain top line with profitability and review their performance periodically.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational :
- Ensure the actual revenue achieved is as per the targeted plan and identify reasons and solutions to mitigate losses
- Monitor LOB wise month on month growth and provide guidance to Sales Executives to achieve the desired growth
- Increase the market share by adding new clients and customers
- Retain existing clients and customers of
- Collaborate with CRM, commercial and Operations teams to define strategies and achieve regional budgeted revenue numbers
- Analyze and study sales data to identify problem areas and develop areas of improvement for the team
- Market and sell other vertical offerings to existing customers
Financial :
- Monitor and track the collection of credit in the region and make sure the collections are as per the expected timelines
People :
- Review the sales performance of each Sales Manager in the region and provide strategic guidance to the team
- Oversee facilitation of a conducive work environment that ensures high employee engagement levels in the team
- Manage the resolution of issues escalated from team members & key stakeholders
Desired Knowledge And Experience :
Graduation / Post Graduation : Sales & Marketing with 10-12 years of experience in similar role in a fast paced growth organization
- 5+ years of experience in a Logistics industry or related field
Knowledge & Abilities :
- Ability to understand customer requirements
- Knowledge of market dynamics in courier, transportation and logistics industry
- Knowledge in data analysis, to understand performance of various areas in the region
- Stakeholder management, in order to manage external customers and internal support teams
- Ability to inspire confidence and create trust in the team
