Regional Sales Manager - Food Industry (15-18 yrs)

Job Position : REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Location : Nadiad

Reporting to : General Manager Sales and Marketing

About Client: Founded in 1901 and has diversified business operations with interests in Tobacco Products, Food Processing, Specialty Chemicals, and Health Care Hospitals, Logistics, Finance and Hospitality Hotels. Diversified into the Indian Ethnic Food business in 2001. It is also recognized as one of the largest employers of the country, employing more than 125,000 people. Entered the Indian snack food market in 2013.

Job Role :

a) Prepare short, medium and long term plans to achieve sales targets in all branches in region within allocated budget.

b) Identify areas for expansion geographically and new products for growth

c) Lead and guide team to achieve company objectives

1. JOB DESCRIPTION:

3.1 PLANNING :

a) Consolidated budget for all branches in region

b) Promotion/Expansion plans for namkeen business

c) Budget for launches in region

d) Schedule for market visits, Godown Checks, Inspection of Records

e) Sales meeting and conferences

f) Route planning to ensure all vehicles in all areas are economically utilised

g) Infrastructure requirements at regional office

3.2 OPERATIONS SALES :

a) Prepare consolidated budget for region

b) Monitor weekly sales and budget for every branch to ensure targets are achieved and expenses are within budget

c) Identify critical areas e.g. fall in sales, competition activities, performance of agencies, highlight and take corrective action

d) Interact with despatch department to ensure products reach depots as required so that there are no shortfalls while maintaining inventory as per norms.

e) Attend to issues with agents which have not been resolved at branch/depot level.

f) Interact with Product Manager for promotion requirements in the region and implement strategy.

g) Attend quarterly review, Monthly Meetings of all depots in region.

h) Travel and focus on non-performing areas and take necessary action after first hand visits.

i) Ensure agents submit monthly reports

FINANCE, HR AND ADMINISTRATION :

j) Ensure proper records are maintained at branches and depots through periodical inspection.

k) Monitor expenses on a monthly basis and take action in case of deviations.

l) Identify additional requirements of infrastructure and prepare proposal for approval

m) Ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled within region.

n) Set goals and targets for subordinates, review and assess their performance regularly and provide feedback

o) Review performance of trainees and field staff regularly and provide feedback to improve their effectiveness.

p) Identify training and development needs of subordinates and co-ordinate with HR department to ensure training.

q) Provide suggestions for cost reduction in region

r) Help TSMs to protect trademark and copyright violations of companys products

s) Obtain approval from Manager Sales and marketing for expenses beyond authorised limit

t) Perform any other job assigned by management from time to time.

3.3 DEVELOPMENT :

a) Visit markets to identify new products and possible geographical expansion

b) Identify high potential regions, analyse competitors activities and provide data to develop suitable marketing strategy for company.

Desired Skills :

- Graduate and MBA in marketing with 15 to 18 years of experience from FMCG, preferably from Food industry

- He should be good in sales management

- Able to manage a team of 20 to 25 front line sales personnel as well as 6 to 10 managerial employees

- Good in written and spoken communication skills

- Exposure to new product launch and local market & language (Gujarathi) will be added advantage Should have good administrative skills to use all resources effectively in total sales management process

Desired Skills :
