Regional Sales Manager - FMCG (10-15 yrs)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Sales Target Achievement:
- Leading the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets for the assigned region across all ice cream products within the general trade channels.
- Distributor Management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key distributors, ensuring proper stock levels, and motivating them to achieve sales targets within their territories.
- Retailer Engagement:
- Actively visiting and managing relationships with small retailers, implementing promotional strategies, and ensuring optimal product visibility on shelves.
- Market Analysis:
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for sales growth within the general trade segment.
- Team Leadership:
- Coaching and developing the sales team, providing training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
- Train frontline team on sales capability
- Sales Planning and Execution:
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans, including promotional activities, pricing strategies, and distribution channel optimization.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Tracking sales performance, analyzing sales data, and generating reports to identify areas for improvement and inform future sales strategies.
- Marketing:
- Execute local marketing activities and schemes, monitor competitor activities, key accounts, market trends, opportunities and future prospects and build strategies in consultation with the management team.
- Responsible to increase overall market share by increasing ND and WTD.
- Responsible for driving profitable growth by taking into consideration P&L balancing on monthly basis.
- Managing distribution cost as per AOP.
- Stock management & Operations:
- Stock control, should have strong hold on operations, know how much to order and intimate when the stock is low.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of success in FMCG sales working with a leading Ice cream brand, particularly within the general trade/Modern trade channel.
- Strong understanding of the ice cream market, including seasonal trends and consumer preferences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Leadership abilities to motivate and manage a sales team effectively.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
