Regional Sales Manager - Channel Sales - Consumer Durable (5-8 yrs)

Job Role : Regional Sales Manager - Sales (Channel Sales) .
Reporting : GM Sales
Major Job Responsibilities :
Performance management :
- Recruit, train and retain high-potential sales teams, track key measures of their performance and motivate them with pay and incentives that reward success on company wide, as well as individual, metrics.
Tools and support : Reps' time should be spent selling
Targeted offerings :
- Identify and focus on the highest priority customer segments with products and solutions that are bundled and priced for maximum revenue, retention and renewals.
Sales resource deployment :
- Develop the right coverage model for each customer segment; assign responsibilities and design territories to make the best use of scarce resources.
Coverage and capacity :
- Match the right customers and channels
- Review the business unit performance and make recommendations for action based on findings.
- Be accountable for business development projects as well as provide and input to business led initiatives in order to achieve agreed business and financial targets.
- Bring an innovative approach to problem solving and encourage individuals to - think outside the box to increase efficiency and streamline business processes.
- Recommend the annual budget to the GM and Board for his approval.
- Identify, recommend and develop new business extensions related to the core business.
- Ensure that the business captures and shares key learning for the effective development of future opportunities.
Qualification & Experience :
- A qualified professional with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience and a strong academic background ideally including a master's degree.
- Demonstrated an impressive track record of success in dynamic, fast moving and entrepreneurial environments at a strategic level, and must possess hands-on experience of working successfully with all levels of employee groups in different commercial and cultural environments.
- High appreciation of the consumer products sector.
- A proven builder of teams, and an effective communicator.
- Makes timely decisions while simultaneously creating innovative decision rules or frameworks to inform future decision-making.
- Builds a culture that shares credit for success and failure and that rewards initiative.
