Regional Business Head - Media (8-15 yrs)

This position of the Regional Business Head, will be responsible for providing relevant market insights on the reader / advertiser landscape to enable the products to garner higher revenues. The role holder will be accountable to provide insights on the need to create new products or customize existing products, oversee the pricing and asses the revenue potential of the product. The person will also need to develop and implement the overall strategy for increasing the circulation of the products and for attracting new subscribers through innovative circulation strategy and drive impeccable execution. This will cover the following responsibilities (indicative and not exclusive):
- Regular Business planning, forecasting, and tracking MM revenue as against AOP
- Closely follow advertiser landscape
- Responsible for identifying opportunities that lead to the revenue growth
- Work closely with Head of Brand & Product for product innovations
- Anchor new product development/customizations/new SKUs /hyper-local products basis inputs from market research/ BA Circulation data
- Participate in conceptualizing new events with profitable business models
- Devise the GTM strategy for new products as well as constantly renew GTM for existing products
- Accountable for Pricing & revenue of new products and maintenance of Pricing for running products
- Ensure new product meets circulation guidelines by constant engagement with BA circulations
- Responsible to analyze and interpret circulation and readership data to increase product penetration, align product placement and sharper reach.
- Assess the need to penetrate new markets and build appropriate business case for increasing copies and or geography
- Closely follow competition's circulation movements, revenues, costs and related initiatives
- Regular Business planning, forecasting, and tracking Circulation revenue as against AOP
- Collaborate with Business Assurance - MM, for adapting to changing market needs- and dynamics that may impact/influence advertiser revenue
- Partner with Business Assurance - MM for sharper reach which should enable advertisers reach the right customer segment

The required background
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Sales and Business analytics in Media/ Durables / FMCG/ telecom required
- Having both Sales and Marketing experience will be added advantage
- Should have credible experience in growing a business profitably
Skills & Abilities :
- Analytical skills - must be able to understand and interpret large data into useful business information.
- Strong communication skills when gathering information, interpreting data, and presenting results.
- Strong influencing skills, ability to deal with difficult stakeholders
- Well versed with Market trends and competition roadmap
