redBus - Search Engine Optimization Specialist (1-2 yrs)
redBus is looking for an SEO specialist with around 1-2 years of experience in driving SEO efforts at an e-commerce/online travel portal. Should be able to take end-to-end responsibility of devising and implementing on-page as well as off-page activities targeted to improve the organic traffic of redbus.in and all its platforms.
Education: Preferably an engineering graduate (any stream) from a reputed institute.
Important Note: This role will on a Direct Contract basis with redBus for 6 months - Extendable. The role will be based out of Bangalore.
1. Should have deep and up-to-date knowledge of Search Engine Optimization techniques
2. Should have a good understanding of technical aspects of on-page optimization and website architecture
3. Should have a basic understanding of HTML, Meta tags, redirections, deep links, sitemaps, etc.
4. Should have the ability to learn up and coming innovations in search and implement them on redBus
5. Should be able to create requirement documents for technical changes required for SEO
6. Should be able to interact and work with the Technical/engineering team for driving SEO enhancements
7. Should have the zeal and dedication to drive implementation of various SEO projects in coordination with various teams like design, product and engineering.
8. Should be comfortable with and have experience of working with tools like Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, Screaming Frog, Ranking tools, Moz and other SEO tools.
Responsibility :
1. Take responsibility for the organic traffic growth targets for all the platforms (all websites and mobile apps).
2. Drive implementation of the product roadmap on SEO. Should collaborate with design, product and technology teams for all the implementations.
3. Should drive analytics and measurement of overall SEO performance as well as the impact of individual SEO projects on the overall SEO performance.
4. Will be responsible for publishing periodic performance reports and review presentations.
5. Should work on keyword research, product/landing page targeting and the overall SEO strategy.
6. Actively use GA, webmaster and other SEO tools to report any issues, bugs or concerns and also to improve performance.
7. Should collaborate with the paid search (SEM) team on keyword research and mutual growth of redBus on the search engines.
8. Should monitor the overall SEO health of all the platforms (websites & apps) and report issues if any/draw roadmap for new opportunities.
