Job Title : Manager - Business Development Manager (Based at Bangalore)
Reports To : Regional Head
Manages : Designated Area's supply team.
Strategic Planning :
- Identify and develop new market opportunities, makes recommendations based on emerging trends, opportunities, and threats
- Own the supply plan for the designated region in order to meet the business plan and goals.
- Responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization, market share improvement
- Manages and maintains Group and Transient inventories, updated knowledge on industry trends and periodic market researches.
- Act as the organization's first level manager to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships with bus operators for the benefit of the organization.
- Develop unique ways to grow the business with your customers and provide solutions to management in the face of challenges.
Operational Efficiencies:
- Manage a supply team comprising of 5-8 AM's / IE's and ISE's across the designated geography.
- He / She is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of operations, sign up new bus operators and maintaining relations with the existing ones
- Should be up to date with the market knowledge of intercity bus travel and ensure that all opportunities to grow rebus's market share are tapped.
- Engage Bus operators and increase participation in redBus marketplace by effectively promoting all seller side products/platforms.
- Ensure all issues pertaining to bus operators are resolved ethically and amicably
- Address and resolve all escalated customer issues and continuously work towards improving NPS for the region.
- Co-ordinate and follow up with all cross-functional teams
- Strengthen the relationship with existing / new business partners & other relevant stakeholders.
Internal Stakeholders:
- Call Center
- Product - B2B and B2C
- Marketing, Sales
External Stakeholders:
- Bus Operators
- Partners and agencies.
- Government departments.
Eligibility :
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is preferred with 3-4 years of experience in BD / Sales with minimum 1-2 years of team management experience
- Good Key account management and negotiation skills.
- Interested/willing to travel extensively in the assigned State / Territory
- Effective communication skills and
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- An inclination for numbers and analytics
- Very strong people management
