Proposal Writer/Concept Manager - IT (8-14 yrs)
Shift Timings: 12.45 p.m. to 9.45 p.m.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Determines proposal concept and win theme by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying RFPs, RFQs and EOIs.
- Build a brand narrative by developing proposal information gathered into a compelling story in the executive summary.
- Lead storyboarding sessions, participate in key review meetings / final document review, content sign off and document production.
- Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation;
- Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
- Ensures proposals are written in a clear, simple and effective language instead of formal, convoluted technical-speak.
- Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone.
- Maintain proposal support databases and knowledge base.
- Obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key providers and project managers.
- Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes.
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- At least 8+ years- work experience in writing proposals and managing proposal writing teams in response to RFPs.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office applications.
- APMP Certification is a must.
- Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledgebase system is beneficial.
- Ability to coach sales teams and subject matter experts in writing best practice.
- Proposal automation software (or similar) experience.
