Promo Producer (1-3 yrs)
Basic Purpose :
- The Promo Producer completes assigned production of promotional materials for on and off-channel, including tagging, re-tagging, slating, duplication and preparation for air. In addition the AP will write and produce promos for projects.
- Specific responsibilities vary from program to program and station to station, and promo producers may sometimes also take on the roles of Music Manager/Producer, but typical work activities include but not limited to :
Key responsibilities :
- Developing highly effective, original and targeted marketing copy for the promotion and sale of goods and services.
- Working in tandem with other departments of an Organization and writing & editing creative materials for promotions, direct marketing (email, newsletter), advertisements as well as website content, etc.
- Interacting with clients from time to time and advising those regarding content related issues.
- A thorough understanding of the target audience and maintaining the right tone of voice while writing copy
- Production of Promos, Ads, Interstitial
- Write and produce promotional spots; Record VO sessions with talent
- Tag pre-produced promos; Research and obtain materials necessary to retag
- Work with Director of Creative Services to maintain edit room work flow;
- Preparation of daily/weekly edit and production grid, Stay apprised of the deadlines set in production plans/timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Supervise dub requests/label making
Job Specification :
- Expert writing skills, editing and proof reading abilities.
- Ability to write concise, attention grabbing and hard-hitting copy that puts the message across.
- Creative bend of mind with strong visualization skills.
- An advertising background with an understanding of Search Engines and Internet Marketing, an added benefit.
- Exposure to writing print promotional materials, online web content, press releases, copy to assist advertising and marketing efforts, etc.
- Quick idea generation, ability to come up with ideas at a drop of a hat.
- Delivering within short time frames and meeting tight deadlines.
