Principal Product Marketing Specialist

This individual has responsibility for writing and proofreading market collateral and project managing events. The position reports to and works closely with the director of global marketing. Coordination and collaboration with team members from other groups within the company on projects required in addition to contributing ideas and approaches that help us to attract and maintain customers and partners.

Responsibilities:

1. Write various pieces of marketing collateral such as white papers, customer case studies, newsletters, solution briefs, customer presentations and web content

2. Lead marketing event planning activities including all aspects of the event (project plan, budget,exhibit, show services, demo, messaging, registration of employees, speaking opportunities, shipment of exhibit/demo)

3. Generate ideas related to marketing activities that help to build market awareness and demand

4. Maintaining current versions of marketing resources on GoogleDrive and organizing them such that they are easily accessible and clearly identifiable (includes: collateral, presentations, case studies, presentations, etc.)

5. Coordinate with webmaster to ensure collateral and web pages are maintained and kept current; provide guidance on where items are posted; review content of website for accuracy and usability on an ongoing basis; coordinate with product management on content

6. Support product management in review and proofreading of product documentation, datasheets and application notes for composition, grammar and spelling

Requirements:

1. Education: Minimum CS or EE degree; MBA desirable or related work experience

2. Work experience: 8-12 years related work experience; highly desirable but not required to have background in utilities from vendor or utility perspective

3. Excellent written and oral English communication skills

4. Project management skills

5. Good personal time management skills

6. Team player; ability to work well with others

7. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, GoogleDrive, HTML

8. Familiarity with salesforce, MailChimp, WordPress, Adobe InDesign helpful but not required

9. Self-driven with ability to work independent of day-to-day management

10. Experience working for a company with direct management remotely located

11. Self-motivated to learn about companys products, technology and customers

12. Technical requirements: understanding of enterprise class networks and protocols; understanding of SCADA networks a plus.
