Role Brief : 

Area Sales Manager is responsible for the overall sales performance in the given region. This position requires exceptional Sales skills, analytical problem-solving and customer service skills. Area Sales Manager develops an overall business plan, including sales strategies and profit goals. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales strategies that maximize sales for the assigned product in the region by overseeing and conducting market research to develop and implement sales initiatives, developing and implementing sales strategies through deep product knowledge and core competencies. This position is for women inner wear segment which includes, sanitary pad as one of the products. Product range may increase from time to time and this role is critical in terms of building the Team in the region, grow and expand.

Areas of Responsibilities :

- Understanding Business requirements in detail, in-depth product knowledge and developing sales strategies, before commencement of work.

- Work with the Management Team and develop robust strategies to achieve Sales targets in the region as per plan.

- Work with your Team by providing ongoing training and developing Sales Officers to drive Sales efficiently, effectively and as per plan.

- Guide, support and work with the Team Members so that they are able to meet individual as well as Team's target, at all times.

- Ensure & monitor compliance with all of Company, State laws and regulations, at all times. The same is applicable to entire Team, under this role.

- Conduct Market research, develop good market understanding in terms of Distributors, Retailers and other avenues of Sales.

- Conduct Market research to understand competitor and market trends. Suggest innovative ideas to increase Sales and develop Market presence, effectively.

- Develop and manage an efficient distribution network to improve sales performance.

- Travelling in the region, meeting up with potential Buyers, creating rapport, looking out for new prospects and working with existing ones would be a routine task toward increasing Sales figures.

- Retaining existing Channel of Sales for repeat Business would be imperative.

- Manage Team performance in terms of consistency, quality, compliance and discipline.

- Work and drive the team toward exceptional Customer services, share Customer feedback with the Management and work and share inputs toward making product, system, operations, further better for enhanced Customer experience.

- Customer relationship building, B2B or B2C would be required at all times.

- Providing exceptional customer service to all customers as per need.

- Keep Management in loop through regular reports, participating in meetings, being part of review meetings as per desired frequency would be standard norms.

Qualifications & Skills required:

- Bachelor's degree in Sales or Marketing or Business management or related field is preferred.

- 5-7 years of prior Sales experience in Pharma or women inner wear segment would be preferred

- Familiarity across segment and trend in the Market would be most suitable

- Excellent sales and negotiation skills

- Effective decision making and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to interact effectively across all types of potential buyers or partners.

- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to consult and negotiate with both internal Team and external customers

- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with little supervision

- Excellent management, leadership and organizational skills

- Great negotiation skills and consultative sales skills

- Customer centricity is a must

- Being a Team player, be able to work in Team would be desired

- Possess proven track record of meeting Sales targets (sector-specific) would be preferred

- Willingness and ability to be able to prepare reports and present, as desired

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, remote video, voice or group calls etc

- Be willing to travel, at times even on a short notice, attend meetings and support in facilitating Sales would be required
