Program Summary :
Gurushala, a mobile application, is an initiative of Indus Towers Ltd. and Vodafone Idea Foundation and is implemented by Pratham Education Foundation and is also available as a website. Gurushala was launched in September 2019 offering a variety of free, high quality, and interactive resources including online courses on innovative pedagogies curated digital content aligned to the school curriculum and a networking platform for teachers across India. In 2021, Gurushala initiated its engagement with students through online assessments and a range of online classes for students. The program has aimed to positively impact the learning levels of students by equipping schools with digital technology and training teachers to integrate technology and innovative group learning pedagogies inside the classroom. While continuing to provide resources free of cost, Gurushala is also introducing select paid products for teachers and students to be available both institutionally and individually. This will also entail expanding to a new target audience while deepening engagement with the existing target audience
Position Summary :
The position of - Associate-Business Development- in an individual contributor role, working within the team of Business Development. The incumbent will be responsible for designing strategies to forge partnerships and generate revenue for the program. The incumbent will contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic sales plan, identify new business opportunities, work on building relationships and service the partnerships forged. Additionally, the incumbent will also be involved in identifying and leading discussions on strategic partnerships and partnerships with content creators. The incumbent will be implementing a hybrid sales model that will give exposure to inside sales and direct sales
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities, trends and insights
- Evaluate the needs of the target audience
- Contribute to the drafting of business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media and other means as required
- Set up meetings with potential institutional partners for understanding their requirements and expectations from the program
- Identify potential partnerships and create a strong referral network of institutional partners
- Negotiate and close the sales and remain in charge of all communication with the partner thereafter
- Gather feedback from partners and share it with internal teams
- Working with the educational institutions and partners across the country

- Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Up to 02 years of full-time work experience in sales and marketing
Preferred Skills and Abilities :
- Proven work experience working in business development
- Proven ability to meet and surpass sales targets
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices
- Experience with marketing tools and software
Working Details and Remuneration :
- Remuneration will be commensurate to the candidate's experience and will be within the range of INR 30,000-40,000 CTC per month
- The incumbent will be based in New Delhi and will have to travel regularly across the country
