Power2SME - Manager - Public Relations (7-10 yrs)
Power2SME is looking for a Public Relations Manager to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness, develop an enviable corporate image and continue to build upon the though leadership efforts for its senior team.
Strategy :
- Develop annual PR plans and strategic publicity campaigns for the brand and senior members,
- Maintaining a keen understanding of Industry trends affecting Power2SME & it's sub-brands and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
- Formulate policies and procedures related to public information programs
- Should be able to develop narratives and be a good story-teller
Competition Strategy & Mapping :
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly basis in adherence to the annual PR targets
- Develop a comprehensive evaluation matrix to measure effectiveness of Power2SMEs PR efforts
- Track competition and provide information to the senior team about new and current PR campaigns in progress of the competition
Thought Leadership :
- Position the CEO of the organization as a thought-leader and an agent of change for the sector
- Drive Image of the company and its thought-leaders
- Work closely with the leadership team across businesses / teams at the outset & independently lead communication from the start of any project / campaign / launch
Media Relations :
- Developing a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
- Steer media stories in favor of the brand and cultivate a deep knowledge of the company and industry to seize on opportunities
Content Development :
- Keen eye for developing
- Draft speeches with / for Power2SME's senior team members
- Create content along with agencies, for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations, holding statements, Pitch notes and Q&As
Crisis Management :
- Manage an organization's reputation
- Manage crisis / issues communication by proactively liaising with internal and external stakeholders to minimize the fallout from a crisis
Reporting :
- Developing a monthly reporting format which evaluates our PR efforts and benchmarks them against annual plans
Preferred Candidate :
1. 7 - 10 years relevant experience in a Communications Role
2. Must be a confident communicator, presenter and a story-teller
3. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
5. First-class copy-writing, proof-reading skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
6. Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships
7. Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
8. Possess the ability to keep information confidential
9. Tactical understanding of all primary media platforms
10. Ability to work in high-stress environments, often for long hours
11. A wide degree of creativity and latitude
12. Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
