PloPdo - Manager - Business Development (8-12 yrs)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to lead sales and expand market presence within the personal care industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in personal care formulations, cosmetic ingredients, and B2B sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth by developing new opportunities and expanding market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with formulation scientists, regulatory teams, and purchasing managers.
- Provide technical insights to support clients in their formulation development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, technical, and regulatory.
- Track customer interactions and sales data using CRM tools.
- Contribute to annual budget planning and ensure strategic alignment with company goals.
- Travel up to 50% as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cosmetic Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the personal care or specialty chemicals industry.
- Strong understanding of skin care and sun care formulations.
- Proven sales and business development experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or SAP).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Candidates:
- Experience in a product-based company within the personal care ingredients or cosmetics sector.
- Strong market knowledge and established customer network.
- Team leadership experience is a plus.
