About the Role :

National Sales Manager - Modern Trade & Alternate Channels - Do supermarkets and bulk buyers give you a thrill? Build a sales empire in Modern Trade & Institutional Sales!

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies in Modern Trade & Alternate Channels

- Initiate & onboard the brand to various National & Regional Modern Trade Chains

- Build relevant sales team to support the channel

- Achieve Primary, Secondary, Tertiary & Collection targets

- Ensure analysis & submission of relevant sales and operational reports for the channel

- Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts

- Liaise with various stakeholders like Finance, Marketing and Product Development departments, SCM, Operations etc to ensure brand consistency stay up to date with new product launches

The Ideal Profile :

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the FMCG or similar industry with at least 4 years in Modern Trade.

- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in Modern Trade and/or Institutional channels

- Strong understanding of the Modern Trade and Institutional sales landscape in India (or target market)

- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills

- Experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
