Personage - Senior Associate - Business Development (3-8 yrs)
POSITION SUMMARY :
This requires you to be action-oriented a passion for Business Development and Sales, preferably someone who has worked at or with universities or edtech has excellent relations in the Corporate L&D space. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Identify business opportunities within Corporates by identifying prospects and evaluating their needs
- Lead and implement sales efforts for online courses, coaching and speaking business activities to generate revenue
- Actively seek new accounts, farm them & mine existing accounts
- Build proposals and respond to RFPs and RFQs
- Present proposals and solutions to customer stakeholders
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
- Build partnerships with Edtech platform companies for building solutions that meet end-customer needs
- Leverage network and create channel/distribution partner
- Achieve weekly targets in a high pressure performance driven competitive environment
- Feel the pulse. As a growth person, there is no set formula for success. Innovate to achieve targets
- Monitor self-performance at all times
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE :
- Basic understanding of the EdTech Business - ideally in Digital Learning, Content, and Commercials. (Candidates without an understanding of the markets need not apply)
- Proven experience as a business development and sales executive
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with English proficiency
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office- Powerpoint, Word, Excel
- Proven ability to work and effectively communicate with C-level executives and line of business representatives
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in concept selling
- Numbers oriented with demonstrated entrepreneurial and organizational skills
- Fast learner and passion for sales with prospecting skills, sales planning
- Track record of driving results under minimal supervision. Experience building a vertical/new business is a plus
- Independent and self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Comfortable with flexible work timings and travelling
Expertise in the following areas will help :
- Rolodex, past experience of generating leads/sales in EdTech, Education, Professionals Learning for corporates
- Experience in selling services and solutions, making proposals, presentations and negotiations.
QUALIFICATION :
- MBA from a Premiere Business School
