PayMate - AVP/VP - Strategic Alliances & Sales (10-12 yrs)

OBJECTIVE :

Responsible for developing alliances with merchants and increasing revenue through enhanced mobile commerce.

Alliances with Merchants :

- Research & Identify new merchants for "Paymate" facility including a forecast of the revenue opportunities that will accrue with such merchants.

- To pitch for new strategic alliances with merchants by preparing proposals, presentation and concept notes.

- To enroll new merchants that would deploy - Paymate- as a transaction option.

- Customizing value propositions with merchants and develop specific revenue models.

- Establish strong B2B relationships with utilities, consumer portals, retail establishments etc.

- Training of users at merchant end and account management post alliance.

- Joint programmes in co-ordination with Marketing to increase the awareness of - Paymate- among consumers.

Revenue Responsibility :

- Initiatives to increase in mobile commerce and in turn increase revenues for the Company.

- Mine each account to suggest and advise the merchant on mechanisms to enhance volumes on - Paymate-

- Work closely with the Marketing cell to develop promotional programmes

Leadership Responsibility :

- Build a motivated and committed team that share a common mission and purpose

- Motivating the team and providing the necessary support enable them to succeed

- Training of team members

Other Responsibilities :

Oversee the implementation and migration of merchants on to the - Paymate- platform and maintain a constant wire with clients.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE/AGE : 10-14 years. Should be 32-38

QUALIFICATION : MBA from a premier business school with specialization in Marketing.

TARGET INDUSTRIES :

Leading B2B and B2C portals like Travel, Yahoo, Rediff, e-Bay,

Large Travel and Retail Companies

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :

- Experience in building and managing alliances with leading portals/merchants/institutions.

- Independently made presentation to business partners and create value propositions.

- Good exposure to revenue sharing models through such alliances.

- Should have handled hard core sales at some point of time in one's career

- Must possess excellent relationships with B2B and B2C portals, utilities, airlines etc

- Exposure to the mobile/VAS space will be preferred

COMPETENCIES :

Technical & Strategic:

- An understanding of developing win-win alliances

- Commercial and negotiation skills to be able to extract the best deal.

- Developing commercial proposals and MOU's

- Must have a revenue orientation and be comfortable with numbers including excel/number crunching.

Behavioral Competencies :

- Should have an entrepreneurial streak in oneself and the desire to make things happen.

- Internal motivation and a high desire to achieve.

- Reasonable lateral thinking and ability to come with new ideas and solutions to problems

General Competencies:

- Demonstrate Patience and resilience especially during the period from spawning of new business ideas to the point of closure.
