Designation: Managing Editor

Type: Full-time

Location: Aundh, Pune

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the editing industry

Education: An M.A. or M.Phil. degree in English or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities :

- Team management: Handle a team of editors and senior editors, respond to their queries, manage deadlines, and provide feedback.

- Aligning editing and operations: Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure documents are processed and delivered in time to the clients. Quality check edited documents as required.

- Inter-departmental collaboration: Effectively liaise with and communicate plans/projects/policies across different company departments.

- Training strategy: Work with the COO to define the training calendar, identify areas where training is required, and develop modules to support all training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

- Training delivery: Conduct training sessions for your team.

- Process development: Build effective and resilient internal processes that meet the requirements of the editing team and ensure accountability at each step until final document delivery.

- Project management: Apply editing knowledge to steer individual inter- or intra-departmental projects and improve internal processes, communication interfaces, and service delivery.

- Cross-functional partnership: Partner with cross-functional teams that pool the expertise of different departments to solve issues, explore new processes, or strengthen existing processes across Sales, Marketing, HR, Web Development, and other departments.

- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a tight and demanding schedule

- Strong communication and training skills

- Excellent English language skills, with in-depth knowledge of grammatical concepts and theory

- Good research skills, with a high level of curiosity and general awareness

Salary: As per industry standards with added performance-based incentives

Selection process: The selection process comprises three steps: An application essay, an editing and grammar test, and then a final personal interview.
