PandoCorp - Event Marketing Role (3-8 yrs)
What is Pando?
Businesses don- t just sell products; they make promises. We believe that it should be easy for them to deliver on these promises. And, when we noticed that the way businesses manage their deliveries is broken, we decided to fix it.
Pando's vision is that moving goods will be as simple as people moving, that delivering something will be as digital, delightful and data-driven as buying something online. Imagine if companies could source, track, and pay for deliveries, with just the click of a button - irrespective of size, industry or location - the way you order books online. And imagine if size was no deterrent to trade - big or small, businesses could deliver on the promises they make. Wouldn- t that be really cool? Instead, even large businesses spend huge amounts of time and money and the hundreds of back and forth calls, emails, and people to manage their deliveries. And SMEs simply can- t afford it!
Easier deliveries = lesser costs, lesser work and lesser heartburn for everyone. But more importantly, easier deliveries = more open, transparent and free trade (and, that means cheaper and better products for all of us, and better value for everyone!)
At Pando, we are building the world's first open-market, digital, delivery management platform that helps some of the world's largest businesses in the white goods, chemicals, paper, FMCG and textiles industries digitize and optimize their delivery operations for their customers. Our products are also used by hundreds of small and medium sized transporters to access more business, easier credit and better efficiency.
BUT WAIT: Pando is not just another enterprise SaaS company, though - through our tools, Pando is also creating a social, and economic network of delivery stakeholders that are interdependent, on a single trust-platform; potentially, the largest such network that we have has ever seen. This growing network of commerce powers collaborative advantage, over competitive advantage, and helps unlock value for all involved. Eventually, Pando will become the OS for Trade, fundamentally disrupting the way goods are delivered, and altering the very core of any economy - to ease and enable commerce, through digital deliveries.
And that's a vision we believe is worth fighting for.

We- re building a strong, diverse team of creative, driven, owners who yearn for independence and purpose in their work, and support each other to grow. We work very hard with people we respect and admire, and play to win. Here are some people you will work with, at Pando:
Abhijeet Manohar: One of the foremost systems architects in the continent, Abhijeet was earlier a Senior Principal Architect with SanDisk in Milpitas, California for ~8 years, where he built flash memory firmware and the SA Team. He holds 63 global patents in database structures and optimization algorithms, since graduating from R. V. College, Bangalore, and Arizona State University, USA. When Abhi is not coding or managing devs, he plays competitive cricket, and expects us to humor his unhealthy obsession for earphones (he has a growing collection!).
Ashok Vasan: An industrial engineer by education (Wisconsin-Madison), Ashok is an enterprise tech veteran. Post B-School (Chicago Booth) from 95 through 2006, Ashok led I2's global expansion into the Asia Pacific and Japan regions, building a category defining company from scratch. As Executive Director at Dell and VP - Digital Transformation at CA Technologies, he helped some of the world's largest businesses rethink the way they operated. A founder himself, Ashok built a cloud-sharing application, in the pre-Box/Dropbox world too! When he is not closing million $ deals, you- ll find Ashok humming the Queens, or trying really hard to defend the efficacy of his dinosaur Android phone!
Shreya Dugar: Shreya has designed products for GE, Honeywell and the National Innovation Foundation and was Lead Designer - Enterprise Applications @Think Design. Before that, she worked on designing processes and products for Twist Open Innovations, and the Center for Environmental Education, since graduating from Srishti School of Design, Bangalore. She enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and disagreeing with everything you say (although you- d hate to accept it, she mostly makes sense).
Badrinath Setlur: Is MS in industrial engineering and MBA from Michigan State by education but a manufacturing guy at heart. He started as a quality engineer on the manufacturing floor in the US and progressed to a plant manager. After a 10-year stint in hard-core manufacturing, he returned to India. He continued his association with this industry by consulting with discrete manufacturing companies while at KPMG. Capitalizing on his manufacturing and consulting experience, he pivoted to technology with companies like IBM. He led the automotive, aerospace and defence industries and was the global subject matter expert in the automotive industry. At Cognizant, he led the consulting practice for manufacturing and logistics, set up the consulting practice for Enterprise Application Services and global supply chain practice. Currently, he leads the delivery team at Pando. When not delivering value to the client, you will find Badri reading a book, listening to music and steering clear of physical exercises.
