Position Summary :
- Ocularity Analytics is seeking a Brand & Communications Strategist to develop & execute innovative branding & communications strategy that push creative boundaries in support of all aspects of marketing and advertising campaigns, print collateral, website and social media. The role will advise our clients on overall social approach and behaviour while also developing and executing innovative campaigns. We are looking for individuals with a creative and entrepreneurial drive and are excited to work in a fast-paced environment while thinking quickly on their feet. Qualified candidates will be able to effectively lead multiple projects and will be responsible for not only translating marketing objectives into broad social campaign and overall brand strategies, but also be tasked with proficiently managing campaigns throughout all phases of the project.
- While working within the social media discipline, candidates must also display an aptitude for the entire marketing ecosystem (e.g., brand planning, media planning, creative, etc.) The Brand & Communications Strategist will work as an integral part of the CREATIVITY Division and interface collaboratively with departments across the organization.
Job Duties (Other Duties as Assigned) :
- Bring comms planning alive and show clients how media and emerging technology platforms can be used creatively to integrate a brand into culture
- Challenge and inspire teams to think differently about media channels and platforms
- Perform targeting exercises and develop deep human insights to inform ways in which creative and media can connect with audiences
- Provide thought leadership in the following areas: consumer behaviour, creative media engagements, emerging media, accountability and measurement
- Bring forward opportunistic ideas proactively to take advantage of new technologies, launches, pop-culture and current events in real-time
- Follow creative process guidelines and track work with project management tools and contribute to process improvements.
- Deploy social media programs and technology to create innovative campaigns in support of product, brand and marketing initiatives.
- Develop strategic platforms and ideas to articulate content priorities, role of channels, tone of voice, content, and overall social architecture
- Set targets & execute: timelines for social media programs and key initiatives
- Craft measurement plan that incorporates goals and KPIs across paid, owned and earned
- Stay up-to-date on social media tools, platforms, and industry trends
- Collaborate on and execute creative briefs along with internal team, clients, various departments and stakeholders.
- Present creative strategies/concepts while integrating feedback from stakeholders.
- Multitask and juggle multiple projects with various objectives, timelines, and creative.
- Support print and digital production as needed.
- Contribute to a consistent customer service standard across all departments.
- Work to ensure customer service is ingrained at the core of the Marketing + Sales team
Qualifications (Education/Experience/Certifications) :
- 2-3 years in communication/connections/engagement planning in a (creative) agency, ideally
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape-both offline and online
- Ability to think strategically (not just tactically)
- Excellent written and verbal communication & storytelling skills
- Commercially minded; belief in the power of brands
- Ability to work independently on a project or in a team environment.
- A creative design eye that understands design trends and best practices.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines and being able to work under tight timelines.
- Ability to balance being part of a team while taking responsibility for driving projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
