Nitta Corporation - Manager - Business Development (6-8 yrs)
Basic Purpose & Function :
- As a member of the Sales team, responsible for developing new applications, new products, new segments to grow Nitta's business and to provide technical services for Nitta products for pan India market.
Reports to : AGM - Aftermarket + Vice President
Responsibilities :
- Develop new business through new applications, new segments, new products, etc.
- Drive Technical support for End Users, OEMs and Dealers of Belting Products and Nitta Moore
- Develop and coach other junior team members in application engineering and service requirements.
- Help for selecting correct product based on application with proper costing.
- Help with preparing annual budgets with information on market potential and penetration goals.
- Identifying trial opportunities for new applications, new products and monitoring approvals.
- Regular follow up on ongoing product trial activities and validation.
- Maintaining record for all failure belts & prepare action plan to avoid repetitions.
- Maintaining record of all sample submitted and update the status accordingly.
- Provide technical training to new joiners/ internal team.
- Dealing with various customer complaints & resolving the issues thereby maintaining a long-term relationship with Customer.
- Work closely with Nitta Global Development/Technical/application team and try to replicate new application/segment success stories in India market as well.
- Work closely with Development/Technical team and support customers in India and share application information to colleagues and help one another to achieve common goals.
- Provide monthly reports for business updates, daily activities etc completed in the month by email.
- Regular follow up on competitors- activities and update NCI Management.
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. MBA will be an advantage.
- Must have proven and successful experience in Business Development/Application Engineering & growing the business by creating value for customers & for company
- Has excellent knowledge about engineering industry/Industrial consumables in the region.
- Knowledge of India tax structure, sales policies and regulations.
- Experience in price/terms negotiations with customers.
- Has a proven track record with around 6-8 years' experience in business development/selling industrial products.
- Must be fluent in the English, Hindi and the regional language.
