Position Summary :

- As a Government Sales Manager, you will spearhead the marketing, promotion, and sale of our upcoming government projects in the area of the technical training center. Leveraging various sales techniques, you will acquire new customers, build and sustain client relationships, and represent the company at key events. Your responsibilities encompass managing sales processes, creating compelling proposals, and overseeing the entire project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

Portfolio Marketing :

- Develop and implement strategies for marketing, promoting, and selling the entire range of services.

Collaboration with Consultants and PMC :

- Work closely with consultants and project management consultants for product specification and customisation.

Customer Acquisition :

- Employ networking, cold calling, and prospect selling to attract new customers.

Client Relationship Building :

- Establish and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients, with a focus on government verticals.

Professional Representation :

- Represent the organisation professionally at trade exhibitions, events, and other relevant forums.


Understanding Customer Needs :

- Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements to tailor solutions effectively.

Value Proposition Communication :

- Differentiate the company's offerings and convey compelling value propositions to promote sales.

Proposal Creation :

- Create detailed proposal documents, especially for formal bidding processes, addressing customer requirements.

Cost Calculations and Quotations :

- Provide accurate and rapid cost calculations, adhere to company standards, and furnish quotations to customers.

Market and Customer Information :

- Gather relevant market and customer information to inform strategic decisions.


Sales and Order Management :

- Manage sales and order records, ensuring timely updates in the ERP system.

Team Coordination :

- Coordinate with technical and back-office teams for day-to-day operations, guiding and monitoring team members.

Performance Monitoring :

- Ensure the performance of sales activities meets established standards.

Reporting and Analysis :

- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in line with company formats.

Strategic Development :

- Develop long-term strategies in collaboration with senior management to achieve company objectives.

Project Life Cycle Oversight :

- Manage the entire life cycle of new projects, from mapping to order closure.

Key Account Relationships :

- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel on assigned customer accounts.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Bachelor's in BE Mechanical /Electrical/ Electronics and other Professional courses will be an added advantage

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government business development.

- Knowledge and experience in the field of B2B and B2C

- Knowledge of GFR norms

- Familiarity with trade documentation such as purchase agreements, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export licences

Competencies :

- Thorough knowledge of government departments, tendering processes, etc.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong Business Development knowledge and demonstrate the ability to develop new business opportunities and improve the profitability and competitive performance of the business

- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to spot original Sales and Branding

- Demonstrated ability in identifying and responding to current and future customer needs; delivering innovative products, and providing service

- Strong strategic, analytical, and organisational skills

- Ability to work on their initiative, meet tight deadlines, and balance priorities to achieve results

- Demonstrated the ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contributions

- Strong relationship with Regional MEP consultants and PMC companies.
