National Role - Channel Development Manager - Trade - Travel/Luggage/Retail/Accessories Firm (7-16 yrs)
We have very urgent position in one of the BEST TRAVEL EQUIPMENTS, RETAIL & ACCESSORIES organization across the following location --
BASE LOCATION - Bangalore
OFFERED CTC - negotiable pa fixed + incentives ; depending
upon current CTC.
POSITION - Channel Development Manager - Trade
REPORTEES : 2 direct, also work in close co-ordination with the pan India trade team (55 to 60 in number)
REPORTING - HEAD - Consumer channel development
SPAN OF CONTROL - pan India ; Corporate profile
INDICATIVE JOB PROFILE :-
Planning / Budgeting
- Formulate monthly/quarterly/annual sales plan along with the regional sales teams
- Size the channel opportunity, conduct gap analysis and recommend actionable for expansion
Channel Management
- Achieve channel sales as per budget
- Drive sale of focus products in the channel
- Support regional teams in business development (identifying new properties and closing negotiations in retail, opening new counters/dealers in MT/Trade)
- Drive promotional activities/consumer schemes at POS along with Marketing; Liasion with media agencies for Trade shows
Analytics
- Support the sales operations team with business analytics on channel performance through routine and ad hoc reports
- Provide market intelligence on competition including channel coverage, market share, competitors' actions etc.
- Provide inputs to product team on product launches and pricing strategy specific to the channel
- Analyze the impact of consumer or partner promotional activities/shows/schemes and staff incentive plans on sales
Manpower Management
- Review performance of branches/territories with the objective of improving performance and analyzing opportunities
- Provide inputs on manpower productivity
- Liaise with HR for identification of training needs and development of training modules
Partner Management
- Plan & design commercial trade terms of engagement in association with channel partners
- Create sales toolkit for partners
Channel Strategy
- Design policies for new partner appointment and closure of weak partners
- Develop and executeprocesses specific to the channel for audits, reviews, business development etc.
- Design and execute channel partner programs to create greater alignment in the business
- Keep track of and provide input to management on competition activities, new promotions/schemes etc.
REQUIREMENTS ( Important ) pls apply if you fulfill most of the parameters mentioned below :
1. 6-11 years
2. Tier 1/Tier 2 B school
3. Distribution sales + sales development/trade marketing experience desirable
4. Should have had team management experience
5. Should have MULTIPLE region-handling OR multiple geography handling experience within INDIA.( incase of zonal / regional profiles )
6. HO based (Corporate profiles) will have an advantage.
7. Durables, Apparels, Lifestyle, Accessories, Retail, Luggage etc will be most preferred INDUSTRIES .
