Position - National Key Account Manager ( Modern Trade)

PG: MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing, Any Postgraduate
Preferred candidate profile
- Only candidate from Personal Care & Beauty Industry.
- Candidate should have excellent exposure in Modern Trade.
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills.
- Experience of 12 to 15 Years in Modern Trade.
Job highlights:
- Should be willing to travel to visit stores.
- Must have established relationships with Key Buyers/Category Managers/Store Managers in head office of stores such as DMart, Reliance Retail, Walmart, LOTS, etc.
- Ensure good store level product exposure/placement
- Manpower handling experience (Regional KAMs, Brand Promoters & Merchandizers).
Job Description:
1. Develop and execute the modern trade strategy, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
2. Lead and manage the modern trade team, providing guidance and support to ensure achievement of sales targets.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade customers, including national and regional retailers.
4. Negotiate and manage trade agreements, promotions, and joint business plans.
5. Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to inform modern trade strategies.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and effective execution.
7. Drive business growth through innovative solutions, category management, and in-store execution.
8. Monitor and report on modern trade performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
9. Manage Modern Trade sales operations (Offline Stores) in the regions.
10. Plan, forecast and achieve sales targets (volume/revenue/growth) across channels and accounts.
11. Guide, train and motivate the Sales Team and merchandising staff to meet performance objectives.
12. Responsible for follow-up of payments.
13. Lead trade activities, promotional activities and in-store initiatives to drive sales.
14. Responsible for sales growth, placement of products, MOQs. & mapping of new SKUs and executing new product launches.
15. Modern Trade sales data management and monitoring ,planning and executing marketing promotions/offers.
