About the role

We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, content writer cum editor, who can bring in his/her expertise in the field of financial content writing & editing and improve the overall content of moneyguru. Someone who has a very good understanding of the financial markets and keeps a close track of all major macroeconomic events and can bring in his/her views and opinions for our Daily Insights.

A creative writer and editor who looks at content from the lens of the target audience, can pin-point what exactly needs to be improved and then go ahead and create the best version of the content is something we are looking for.

Responsibilities :

- Write detail opinionated articles related to financial markets, macroeconomic events, government policies, sectorial reviews etc. for our daily insights in an easy to understand and jargon free manner

- Edit, proofread and improve the content written by our content writers and make our daily insights more opinionated and personalized

- Conceptualizing and strategizing content plan for organic growth of the company

- Liaise with content writers to ensure consistency

- Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board

- Strategies and develop content according to business metrics on acquisition, traffic, engagement, retention, conversion etc.

- Work closely with the marketing and product team to ensure consistency in brand language- written and visual, while ensuring compliance

Pre-Requisites

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or related communications field

- Knowledge of Financial Market and Economics domain is mandatory

- 4+ years of experience in content writing and 2+ years of experience in content editing along with writing

- Experience of editing and proof-reading financial article content and working for FinTech company, Banks, Marketplaces is must

- Should be responsible to verify facts dates and statistics using standard references sources.

- Must be good with grammatical accuracy, syntax, brevity and precision.

- Excellent communication skills and effective team management capabilities
