MishiPay - Sales Development Role (2-10 yrs)
About Us:
- MishiPay is an international, leading checkout technology company that empowers shoppers to checkout instore using either self-checkout via their own smartphones, or using MishiPay's industry leading, minimalist, low cap-ex kiosks. We are creating an enjoyable and convenient in-store shopping experience for leading retailers globally.
- MishiPay now also runs Mobile POS, Click and Collect and Cash registers, so that merchants, who initially start with our self-checkout, can eventually run their whole store checkout process on MishiPay.
- With our technology, retailers have proven reductions in cost, due to requiring fewer cashiers, a marked increase in sales due to improved basket sizes, higher frequency of shopper visits and reduction in abandoned baskets, and in addition, all our retailers can access rich and priceless data about their customers.
- This enables a much better understanding of the customer journey in their bricks and mortar stores. Our customers are global - the US, Middle East and Europe, and our reach is growing.
About the Role:
- We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inside sales, particularly in retail technology, and a proven track record of successfully engaging with the EU and US markets.
- You MUST have proven experience in conducting outreach via phone calls and emails to customers, particularly in the US and UK to Enterprise Customers.
- You'll have developed your sales experience within a technology product like ERP systems, CRMS or Accounting/HR softwares. Your written and spoken English skills will be impeccable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Conduct outbound lead generation to create new business opportunities. Develop and execute calling and lead-generation campaigns. Handle incoming inquiries and qualify leads effectively.
- Outreach: Engage with retailers of varying sizes and channels across the UK and US markets. Develop innovative strategies to establish partnerships that drive revenue and sales growth.
- Account Support: Assist the Senior Sales team with opening new accounts with major retailers, completing supplier setup forms, and maintaining our CRM system to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Market Research: Perform in-depth research to identify and approach the right contacts using LinkedIn and other channels.
- Reporting & Meetings: Attend all sales meetings and produce agreed-upon reports, such as lead conversion and sales reports.
About You:
Education & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in inside sales, specifically within the retail technology sector.
- Experience selling tech products to large enterprise businesses
- At least 2 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, Inside Sales, Sales Executive, or similar role, with proven outreach success in the UK and US markets.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on your own initiative and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM.
- Experience in engaging with both warm and cold leads, and successfully closing deals..

- Polished and professional demeanour with a courteous telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
- Location: Willingness to work out of our Pune office.
