The company is headquartered in Hyderabad. All roles are contractual in nature and could involve travelling and long hours.

About the Role : 

Copywriters will be a part of the Social Media and Original Content team and will be responsible for producing engaging, clear text for different channels such as social media accounts, websites, print and digital ads and also assist the larger organisation team in their transcript and copy requirements. Their duties will include researching, producing succinct written content and proofreading their work for accuracy and quality.

Selected candidates will report to the social media managers and will be based out of our Hyderabad office. Candidates must be open to long hours during peak campaign timings.

Responsibilities : 

- Content Creation: Create and edit original copy for a range of communications materials that is accurate, well-researched, and meets the organisation's needs and deadlines. Quickly grasp political & policy-related subjects to articulate political topics succinctly

- Collaboration: Interact with various teams across the organisation to learn about their content needs. Work closely with design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging.

- Expand Knowledge base: Conduct online research, parse through books and journals to formulate ideas that support writing.

- Assessment and optimisation: Evaluate the efficacy and reception of the copy by constantly understanding the target audience and emerging trends. Course correct wherever needed by taking necessary feedback and direction.

Desired Qualifications and experience : 

- Bachelor's degree in Telugu, communications, or related field

- 2+ years of working experiences in creating copy in Telugu with application of excellent creative thinking and writing skills

- Prior experience in creating copy in the development sector, policy and research think tanks, government and social sector would be preferred

- A thorough understanding of creative content pipelines and the processes involved from the conceptual phase to implementation

- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with short turnaround times

- Language proficiency in Telugu is a must

- Political acumen and understanding of local culture, geography, and political landscape would be preferred
