Position Overview :

- We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Career Councelor to join our educational institution.

Role and Responsibilities :

- Careers counselling for individual student, subject choice counselling.

- Maintaining Student Profile of individual student and matching the same with future career paths.

- Working with students to edit and compile the School Career Newsletter.

- Careers and courses events for Classes 9 to 12.

- Career classes for students of 6 to 12.

- Setting up a comprehensive career resource centre.

- Developing career guidance programs.

- Maintain student data and profile on school portal or any outsourced platform which school subscribes.

- Actively involved in university placement and scholarships for class XII student.

- Liaise with Universities (both nationally and internationally) to conduct in house career fair.

- Assistance with applications to both national and overseas universities.

- Parent/student information sessions career choices and assistance provided.

- Work Experience/Internship management and support.

- Maintaining records of student placements.

- Advising students/parents on SAT, TOFEL, IELTS and similar prerequisite examinations for University admissions.

- Conduct SAT, AP, PSAT exams or any other scholastic, entrance exams for college placement/career advancement of students.

- As part of Extra-Curricular activities arrange for suitable College entrance exam coaching after school through external vendors.

- Help the Librarian in developing a Careers section within the library

- Create an Alumni Association and act as the sole Alumni network in-charge.

- Once every year conduct Alumni networking sessions, events etc.

- Act as the Alumni liaison for the school.

- Must a be go-getter extrovert who is proactive in enabling others to do well.

- Willing to learn and build network with other Career Counsellors, University representatives and Career experts from Industry.

- Excellent Communication and presentation skills.

- Willing to unlearn, relearn and learn domain related skills and keep abreast with latest in the field of University Placement and Career Counselling.
