Job Title: Regional Manager - South (Business Development)

Location: Chennai (or as required within the southern region)

Job Summary

The Regional Manager - South (Business Development) will be responsible for overseeing and driving the business development activities across the southern region of India. This role will focus on identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and leading the sales and business growth efforts in the region. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales and business development in the education or ed-tech sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Growth & Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to expand Mere Mentor's footprint in the southern region by identifying new business opportunities and partnerships.

- Sales Leadership: Lead the regional sales team, set clear sales targets, and ensure the team meets or exceeds these goals.

- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, channel partners, and corporate clients.

- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and new areas for business growth.

- Team Management: train, and mentor the business development team across the region to ensure effective performance and growth.

- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments (Marketing,counselling) to align regional initiatives with overall company goals.

- Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management.

- Budget Management: Oversee the regional business development budget, ensuring optimal use of resources to achieve sales and growth objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. An MBA is

preferred.

- Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in business development, with at least 4-5 years in Edtech or Educational Industry,

- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a high-performance sales team.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Proficiency in regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada is an advantage.

- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market data and sales figures.

- Results-Oriented: A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.

- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools and sales management software is preferred.

- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across the southern region as required.
