Merchandising Role - Jewellery (3-5 yrs)

The Merchandiser will be responsible for managing and executing product strategies, planning inventory, and optimizing sales for the Jewellery category. The role requires a balance between creative insight and business acumen to ensure products meet market demand and company profitability.

Key Responsibilities :

Product Planning & Development :

- Collaborate with designers and product development teams to plan, select, and develop jewellery collections aligned with market trends and consumer preferences.

Inventory Management :

- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to meet sales targets while minimizing excess stock.

- Forecast product demand and ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Vendor Management :

- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines are met.

- Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to ensure profitability.

Sales Analysis & Reporting :

- Analyze sales trends, consumer demand, and market data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

- Prepare regular sales reports and present findings to management for strategic decision-making.

Pricing & Profitability :

- Set pricing strategies in alignment with business goals, considering production costs, market trends, and competitor pricing.

- Monitor margins to ensure profitability and suggest promotional strategies when necessary.

Visual Merchandising :

- Work closely with marketing and retail teams to ensure jewellery products are visually appealing in-store and online.

- Create effective product displays to enhance customer engagement and sales.

Market Research :

- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to recommend new product ideas and changes to existing lines.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Coordinate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of product launches and promotions.

Compliance & Quality Control :

- Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and comply with industry regulations and certifications.
