We have been retained by one of our clients to seek Merchandisers who will be required to ensure in all outlets assigned to you that the standards of merchandising, product rotation and product availability are of the highest possible standard. The role will be expected to minimize all expiry stock issues and should keep the Modern Trade Executive well informed of any potential issues. Be proactive in seeking the best shelf position, display site, and brand blocking opportunities by developing harmonious relationships with your customers. Should be constantly aware of all competitive activities reporting these to Modern Trade Executive.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure that any products stored in the customer's warehouse are always available for sale. Ensure the products are available on the shelf all the time as per the Merchandising Guidelines i.e. Trade Agreement, Planogram, Location, FEFO, Pricing, Hygiene, Quality etc.
- Make sure that these products are merchandised to achieve the maximum impact on the shelf with the maximum number of facing possible.
- Understand the products you are merchandising so that you can convince customers to display them in the most effective positions and effectively communicate to the end consumers.
- Ensure that the stock is correctly rotated and priced both on the shelf and in the stock room.
- Any issues on the product are dealt with either by you in the store or reported to Modern Trade Executive.
- Be constantly aware of Changes in competitive activity, shelf agreements and display sites that may assist the Modern Trade Executive in securing improved results.
- Work as a team member with Modern Trade Executive and other Merchandisers to achieve the best results at all times.
- Responsible for the transfer of POSM from the warehouse to the outlet and implementation of the same as per instructions from the Modern Trade Executive.
- Responsible for the POSM in the outlet during the period of displays and ensure the return of the same to the company warehouse.
- Setup Off shelf displays as per priority and the display guidelines i.e. Location, Size of Display, Use of POSM, Price Tag etc.
- Strictly follow the Journey Plan for achieving the most effective coverage of your customers/ territory by maximizing the time you spend in each outlet and reducing to a minimum the amount of time spent traveling.
- Complete reports required by the Modern Trade Executive.
- Maintain a high standard of both personal appearance and sales materials at all times.
- Ensure you have a complete understanding of your product range.
- Ensure you report on all merchandising changes as agreed with your Manager.
