Medical Writer - HealthTech (3-4 yrs)

We are hiring for the role of a "Medical Writer" for one of our clients, a Health Tech Company based in Mumbai.

He will work closely within the content management department - reporting into the General Manager - Content and Partnerships - to research, curate and write high-quality medical and scientific content that is palatable for digital consumption.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in scientific/medical communication planning, including development of strategic medical content

- Media monitoring for latest breaking news, clinical updates, conference updates and industry news

- Curate and moderate day-to-day medical news and publishing, write scripts in provided format for newsfeed uploads in the platform provided by the company

- Summarize, edit and proofread latest journal articles, clinical trials, conference proceedings, case-sheets across multiple medical specialties

- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for preparation and maintenance of compliant medical writing deliverables

- Ensure documents are generated in accordance with agreed internal processes and standards, are submission ready, and are appropriately stored in agreed document management system

- Ensure that appropriate documented quality control (QC) checks are performed on medical writing deliverables, respond to findings, and recommend quality process improvements

- Suggest or identify changes, modifications, and improvements to the document preparation processes and templates in order to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity

- Align with department management to set strategy for meeting department goals

Pre-requisites

- Must have a thorough knowledge of medical therapies, practices, guidelines, clinical trials and industry regulations along with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply this knowledge to document writing

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-task, and work effectively under pressure; adapt to change as needed; possess excellent project and time management skills; attentive to details

- Ability to communicate with teams to set realistic timeline expectations; demonstrated ability to deliver within agreed internal and regulatory timelines; monitor and communicate progress against milestones; escalate complex issues appropriately.

- Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and influencing skills; establishes and maintains professional and productive working relationships with team members

Qualifications and Work Experience

- At minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in medical-related field or life science. Post-graduate degree preferred.

- At least 3 years of experience in medical communications in a healthcare agency or medical affairs of any pharmaceutical company is essential. Exposure to working on digital projects is preferred.

-Should be ready to travel within the city and PAN India as and when required.
