Media Republic - Senior Manager/Junior Manager - New Business Development (2-10 yrs)
We are seeking young, dynamic professionals with contagious enthusiasm and a mind for out-of-the-box solutions to join our top-notch sales team.
NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Prospect potential new clients and turn them into long-term clients
- Identify potential clients and decision-makers and build relationships with them
- Gather client's business requirements and assist in driving strategy, planning, execution by communicating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Engage in an end to end project lifecycle ownership along with revenue and profitability
- Manage, schedule, and attend client meetings for projects
- Set up internal and client meeting agendas
- Schedule and conduct internal and client debriefs after project completion
- Travel to various locations within the country for the purpose of obtaining business
- Cold-calling within a specified market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the team to develop proposals that address clients' needs, concerns, and objectives
- Participate in pricing the solution/service
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to bring about a positive conclusion
- Use a variety of marketing styles to persuade or negotiate
CLIENT RETENTION :
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
- Work with related departments within the organisation to meet customer needs
- Arrange for and participate in internal and external client debriefs
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PLANNING :
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH :
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM or other sales management system
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
- Present business development training and mentoring to members of your team
- Understand the company's goal and purpose in order to continually enhance the company's performance in the realm of business development
SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
- The required qualification is a bachelor's degree in any stream. A post-graduate degree would be a plus
- The necessary skills include team management skills, good networking, persuasive conversationalist, ease with public speaking, strong research ability, motivation for sales, prospecting skills, identification of customer needs and challenges, meeting sales goals, professionalism and knowledge of Microsoft Office
