Media Leader - FMCG (6-15 yrs)
We have an opening for a Media Leader for TOP American FMCG Multinational Brand (middle management hire, B3, very critical role). . Below is a job description. It is a huge role for us. Could you please help in seeing if we can evaluate folks.

P&G plays a prominent role in shaping industry thinking via industry bodies like ISA, BARC, etc.
Role Overview:
- End to end media strategy & planning, buying, implementation & execution across all touchpoints (TV, Print, Radio, OOH, Cinema, Digital - search/social/video/display, etc.) for India P&G brands.
Role Details:
- Understand brand vision/strategy, strategic target audiences, portfolio choices, key business challenges & opportunities and link it back to the media objectives and strategy for the brand.
- Deeply understand the India media landscape, role & cost/scale of every touchpoint, key players in every medium in every geography & understand supplementary/complementary nature of every medium and how it adds up to the consumer media exposure basket.
- Plan & execute the most effective & efficient media mix by combining #1 and #2 which helps drive the best possible reach & conversion for the brands at the best cost and helps deliver brand objectives & goals.
- Lead discussions with agency on execution quality & mechanics across touchpoints, evaluate what's working & not working and work with partners/agency to identify & fix gaps in quantity/quality/method of execution.
- Quarterly reviews with the brand teams of plan execution vs objectives and suitable course correction for brand plans if needed.
- Work closely with the media buying team to understand commercial terms of every player in every touchpoint. Key stakeholder in annual contract discussions, deal renewals and partner performance conversations.
- Lead thinking on media planning & buying models for the future and strive to link all executions to tangible business outcomes wherever possible. Contribute to building infrastructure & measurement systems to track & objectively evaluate all investments.
- Lead thinking on agency capability, upgrading skills & preparing & executing the blueprint for agency of the future and future scope of interaction of P&G-agency relationship.
- Work closely with e-Commerce MFT to apply the same rigor with clear performance KPIs on media spending with key e-Commerce players and direct spending to areas/events which drive tangible business outcomes.
Skills & Competencies needed :
- In-depth understanding of India media landscape & deep technical understanding of traditional & emerging media touchpoints.
- Accountability mindset in linking media execution to business outcomes. Look beyond traditional media metrics/scorecards.
