What we're looking for :
- Someone with strong copy editing experience.
- An excellent sense of grammar, diction and spelling.
- Familiarity with AP style, pop culture, celebrities, and global news.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Editing the assigned copies andmaking sure all copies are free of errors, check for grammar and spelling.
- Should be good edit and rewrite entertainment and news copy, and update copies, and add visual and textual value using their own research.
- Must be up-to-date on the goings-on in the US from a news and entertainment standpoint.
- Double-check the facts, dates, and statistics.
- Make sure the cover image is perfect for the story.
- To make sure all copies are engaging, to rewrite and edit copies to improve flow and readability.
- To write stories as and when required.
