Digital Video Editor

- Editing and packaging raw footage, into high-quality video content meant for distribution on multiple digital platforms.

- Working knowledge of adobe Creative Cloud and file sharing services( i.e DropBox and FTP servers)

- Adjusting and incorporating footage taken from wires or other sources into video projects.

- Adding text, graphics, animation and other visual elements into digital videos.

- Pitching compelling story ideas to editorial management team and executing on approved ideas.

- Ensuring videos, are well organized, timely, balanced and compliant with Code of Ethics.

- Complying with copyright restrictions in selecting and editing multimedia files including still photos, graphics and audio files.

Candidate is required to have

- Degree, preferably in journalism or related field

- At least 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a digital environment

- Expertise in shooting and editing compelling online video packages

- Expertise in photo and video editing/creating software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, After Effects and Final Cut Pro

- Competency in modern journalism tools including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube

- Ability to thrive under deadline pressure
